What is a good size print and what does it cost?
I get asked this question daily and the answer isn't always easy to answer without having more information. Here's why...
The price of a print depends on many factors. Some of the questions I will need to ask when someone inquires about cost is:
1. What approximate (or exact) size are you looking for?
Prints can come in anything from 4x6 to larger than 40x60.
2. What medium are you interested in?
These days, you can almost print on ANYTHING! Prints come in many formats, such as canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, wood prints, matted/unmatted paper prints ... and more!
3. Where will the print be shipped?
Some prints (for example, metal prints) cost much more to ship than a canvas or small paper print. If the metal print is large enough, the company has to create a custom wooden crate to ship it in, so that can increase the cost significantly.
4. How many prints are you interested in purchasing?
I offer bulk discounts if you buy several prints. Also sometimes shipping on several items may be combined to save on shipping.
5. Once you know what format you want the image printed on, I might have a little more to ask. For example, if acrylic, I will need to know what kind of mounting hardware you want. Or if you chose a photographic paper print, I will need to ask what finish you're interested in (lustre, glossy, metallic, etc.).
It's always a good idea to reach out and ask for advice so I can give you the most accurate quote/estimate I can. I always try to work with each customer and do my best to fit their individual needs and am happy to do my best to get you exactly what you want within your budget. So please feel free to ask away!
